Pavel Janda

I am a member of the Chair of Logic, Philosophy of Science and Epistemology at Gdańsk University and a postdoctoral researcher in the project "Conceptual, formal and practical aspects of forensic and judicial applications of probabilistic tools". I received a PhD in philosophy from the University of Bristol in 2018. You can find my full CV here

I work mainly in (formal) epistemology with a focus on decision theory, philosophy of probability, statistics, law, and economics. In Bristol, I worked on Richard Pettigrew's ERC-funded project on accuracy-first epistemology, which remains my big research interest.

My other interests include coffee, history of art, films and colourful socks.
